Rapid Synthesis of Titanate Nanofibers

TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY

We developed a processing technique for rapid synthesis of titanium oxide based nanofibers. This patented process provides ~100% yield in a very short period of time (2-8 hours) compared to other competing processes (50-120 hours). These nanofibers can be woven into fabrics and utilized in diverse applications including battery electrodes.

Value Proposition: Rapid, scalable, single step process for the synthesis of nanofibers; the chemistry of the fibers can be tuned for specific applications; hence diverse market demands can be met including those in the field of water purification and energy storage.
