Mass Production of Pure a Few Layer Graphene Exfoliated Directly From Bulk Graphite

This IP relates to few layer graphene materials with thickness less than 5nm, exfoliated directly from bulk graphite for Polymer Composite and Electrochemical Energy Storage Application. Our method of production offers significantly higher conductivity and lower structural disorder than that of reduced few layer graphene oxide produced by chemical reduction.

Value Proposition: UW’s proposed technology has applications in; conductive polymer composites, EMI/RFI shielding, rechargeable lithium ion batteries and supercapacitor power storage and fuel cells. Our production method offer substantial advantages of cost saving and simplicity over existing forms of grapheme production by chemical reduction.
