Enzymes with robust, pH-tunable degradation selectivity for a broad range of polysaccharides

We have engineered low-cost, scalable production of a series of enzymes which can degrade specific polysaccharides at a chosen pH, including hyaluronic, mannuronic and celluronic acids. Enzymes exhibit broad pH and thermal stability. Specific applications include bacterial biofilm removal, degradation of plant biomass and as adjuvants to increase tissue permeability.

FIGURES OF MERIT
Value Proposition: We can produce the bacterial enzyme at orders of magnitude reduced cost compared to competitors mammalian enzymes with superior activity, stability and solubility. Also, ability to engineer variants that regulate activity using pH will reduce side effects and increase efficacy in therapeutic and commercial food/cosmetic applications.
