Improvement of Catalytic Oxidation Reaction Capacities by Annealing of Pd doped TiO2 Nano-Particles

Summary:

We confirmed that the PdTiO2 nano-particles fabricated after annealing over 800℃ can clearly enhance the oxidation reaction, which act as catalyst to facilitate the oxidation reaction from aniline to azobenzene, thiol to disulfide, and alcohol to aldehyde. Moreover, we could confirm that PdO exists on PdTiO2 nano-particles obtained after annealing over 800℃ and it can enhance the oxidation reaction, which can clearly act as better catalyst than PdTiO2 nano-particles fabricated after annealing at 700℃. As a result, we found that through the oxidation reaction using three molecules on three distinct PdTiO2 nano-particles, PdO clearly affects catalytic reaction.
