Summary:

The science and applications of metamaterials and metasurfaces operating in various spectral ranges will be presented in this talk. Metamaterials, and hybrid metamaterials with plasmonic structures and photonic crystal structures will be presented. Different materials that operate in the ultraviolet, visible, near, mid and far infrared, THz and microwave spectral ranges and their applications will be described. The programs, resources and facilities to perform industry/university collaborative research and technology transfer will be described, including the capabilities and programs of the National Science Foundation Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Metamaterials.
