Our future path will depend on how the world develops in the coming years. In 2050, more than nine billion people will live on our planet. If we don’t change anything about the way we live and manufacture goods then we will need the resources of almost three of our planets to meet the demands of nine billion people. Our society is therefore facing huge global challenges. At the same time, these challenges open up many opportunities for the chemical industry.
In this special session offered by BASF, a panel of industry thought leaders in six different industries will discuss the biggest challenges related to quality of life, food and nutrition, resources, environment and climate. Innovation is the basis of BASF’s long term success as the world’s leading chemical company. We believe that innovation is the key to solving global challenges and chemistry is enabler of growth and value creation in the future in all of these areas.
Format: Moderated panel discussion features Thought Leaders in transportation, consumer packaged goods, green (sustainable) construction, food & agriculture, energy & resources and water.
BASF Booth: 1001
Exhibit Hours: Tuesday, May 14, 5:00-7:00. Wednesday, May 15, 10:00-6:00
