Stable and Robust Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) with Tunable Porosity

Abstract: Hydrothermally stable metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with varying degree of porosity are provided. MOFs comprise metal ion clusters and aromatic carboxylates, and the properties can be tuned by combining the components. The potential applications of MOFs include energy efficient moisture absorbents, gas separation and storage, chemical sensing and delivery, and etc.
