Highly Efficient Solar-Powered Biomass Gasifier

Technology Area: Renewable & Hydrogen Energy

Commercial Maturity: Prototype

Abstract: A solar-powered reactor for converting biomass (examples: wood chips, municipal waste, corn stover) to syngas - a mixture of carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. Syngas can be used directly as a fuel or further converted into diesel and other chemicals.
