Mia Siochi is a senior scientist with the Advanced Materials and Processing Branch at NASA Langley Research Center. She received her BS in Chemistry from the Ateneo de Manila University and obtained both her MS in Chemistry and PhD in Polymer Science from Virginia Tech. Over the past ten years, she has led the structural nanomaterials development effort at NASA Langley Research Center. Her research interests include structural nanomaterials, bioinspired materials, self-healing materials, antifouling engineered surfaces and energy harvesting. She\'s a proponent of multidisciplinary research and is currently detailed to the Flow Physics and Controls Branch to support the development of materials for laminar flow control.
