Maria Vittoria Diamanti

Assistant Professor

Politecnico di Milano, Italy

Italy

Maria Vittoria Diamanti achieved a PhD cum laude in Materials Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2009, with a thesis work focused on the photoinduced properties of nanostructured titanium dioxide.

In February 2011 she started her work as assistant professor at the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta” of Politecnico di Milano. Her research interests explore the production of titanium dioxide thin films and the tuning of their properties as a function of the production method; the study of photoactive materials for wastewaters treatment, for air quality improvement and as a complement to building technologies; and finally, the study of localized corrosion phenomena on active-passive metals.

She teaches “Cementitious and ceramic materials engineering” to MD students of Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology, and “Science and technology of materials” to BD students of Architecture and Environment. She also collaborated to formation courses for industry on the corrosion and protection of metals.
