Domenic Armano is the Director of Energy Solutions at First Fuel Software, a cutting edge building energy analytics company based in Lexington, MA. In this role, he is responsible for delivery of the companies’ analytics platform and the development of innovative customer solutions.

Previously, Domenic was a Director, Strategy & Innovation, at Johnson Controls where he was responsible for the evaluation of new technologies relevant to Johnson Controls businesses. While in this role, Domenic forged critical relationships with entrepreneurs, universities, national labs, technology incubators and venture capitalists. In addition, he conducted due diligence of many energy technology companies which resulted in alliances and strategic partnerships. Prior to this role, Domenic was a Regional Engineering Manager responsible for developing over $300MM in energy efficiency and renewables projects. While in this role, his team developed the forward looking energy efficiency project at the historic Empire State Building.

As a technology leader with deep domain experience, Domenic is working on the first ever Boston based Cleantech hackathon and is an energy technology mentor for the Cleantech Open, SURGE Houston and SJF Ventures incubators. Passionate about energy and sustainability, Domenic is a frequent panelist and speaker.

Domenic will receive his MBA with a concentration in Business Strategy at Boston University in May 2012. He has an MS in Engineering Management from Tufts University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. Domenic is a licensed Professional Engineer.
