David Pine is Professor of Physics at New York University where he is Director of the Center for Soft Matter Research. His research interests encompass the structural, rheological, and optical properties of complex fluids. Past research includes diffusing-wave spectroscopy, sheared polymer solutions, and phase transitions driven by depletion interactions. Current interests involve the development of new colloids, including small colloidal clusters, patchy particles, and lock-and-key colloids, as well an sheared emulsions and non-Brownian particle suspensions.
