Mike Levin focuses his practice at the intersection of government affairs and environmental law, with an emphasis on climate change and sustainable energy. He also has significant experience in California and federal election, campaign finance, government ethics and political law.

Mr. Levin joined Bryan Cave LLP in 2008 after serving as Vice President of Better Energy Systems, a clean technology startup company. He previously served as Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Orange County and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Democratic Foundation of Orange County. Throughout the last decade, he has worked on a variety of local, state, and national political campaigns.

Mr. Levin has assisted clients with environmental and energy regulatory compliance, project development, and government advocacy. He maintains relationships with targeted elected officials, senior staff, and political appointees of concern to clean technology and other companies. He is actively involved in providing clients with access to government grants and other funding for alternative energy projects and clean technology initiatives. He works closely with the firm's Government Contracts group to assist clean tech clients' efforts to obtain "stimulus" grants, tax credits and other government incentives under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act ("ARRA") and other government programs.

Mr. Levin has also worked on a number of election and political law projects, including campaign finance compliance and reporting, and advice pertaining to the California Elections Code. He also has experience in public sector representation, assisting with the Brown Act and California Public Records Act.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Levin served as President of the Associated Students of Stanford University. In 2002, he completed the CORO Fellows Program in Public Affairs. During law school, he was Articles Editor and Staff Editor of the Duke Environmental Law and Policy Forum.
