USDA Special Session - Nano-biosensors and Nanomaterials for Agriculture, Food and Diagnostics

This session focuses on recent advancements in the development of nanotechnology-enabled biosensors for applications in agriculture, food, water, soil and healthcare diagnostic sectors. The scope will include nanomaterials functionalized with novel bioreceptors and biomimics for enhanced interaction with target analytes. Nanoparticles, nanofilms, nanorods, and other nano-structures for effective transducing capabilities are also of interest. Novel forms of signal generation and their robust output will be important to a reliable sensing mechanism. New methods of measurements involving nanomaterials will contribute to wider applications. Submissions are also welcome in all aspects of synthesis, characterization, toxicity evaluation and exploration of new applications.
