David PEYRADE is a CNRS Researcher in the LTM-CNRS Laboratory associated with University Joseph Fourier and located in the CEA-MINATEC Grenoble center. He received his PhD degree in condensed matter physics from Montpellier University for his pioneer work on GaN photonic crystals. In 2002, he joined the LTM in Grenoble as an expert in Nanotechnology. He started to develop microfluidic technologies and devices for non-contact colloidal manipulation (2D-3D) based either on hydrodynamic, optic or electrokinetic phenomena. Now, he leads the “MicroNanoTechnology for Health” department at LTM which transfers those microfluidic technologies to the domains of biology and nanomedicine in close collaboration with the CEA/DSM/INAC/SP2M/SiNaPs and the CEA-CLINATEC center. David’s research activity is founded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) via 4 research programs (1 as the coordinator). He (co)authored more than 100 papers and 4 patents. He also takes part in the program committee of the International Conference on Micro and Nano Engineering (MNE) and in the scientific committee of ESONN, the European School on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. In 2012, he was awarded from the “CEA- challenge first step” to transfer assembly promising technology from laboratory into industry.
