After working in the semiconductor industry at EKC Technology (now DuPont Electronic Chemicals) and attending graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Gordon Shaw Joined the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to work in the Mass and Force Group. He currently leads the small mass and force metrology project, and is responsible for the realization and dissemination of mass less than 1 milligram, and force less than 10 micronewtons.
