Tuning the Size of Pd Metal Nanoparticles on Rosette Nanotube Scaffolding: A Kinetic Study

We have developed a self-assembled and biocompatible rosette nanotube as a support for the synthesis of metal nanoparticles. The rosette nanotube allows in-situ nucleation and growth of nearly monodispersed metal nanoparticles. We have found that the particle’s size could be tuned by simply varying the aging time. The kinetics of the nanoparticle formation was investigated by spectroscopic and microscopic techniques.
