Commercializing any technology can be a challenge. The degree of difficulty goes up when it involves nanotechnology. There are several factors that make the commercialization process additionally difficult: EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety), public perception, lack of understanding of the value, validation of the technology, and most importantly for a small early-stage company, funding. This talk will outline the process and strategy used by Zyvex Technologies to make it through the first phases of commercializing nanomaterials and the lessoned learned along the way.
