Bob has 26 years experience in the area of gas separations by adsorption, absorption, and membranes. His current efforts involve research in the separation and purification of industrial gases. Most recently, he has focused on solid and liquid absorbents for the separation of CO2 from post and precombustion sources. He has been involved in the development of alternative methods of hydrogen synthesis, methanol synthesis from coal-derived synthesis gas, hydrogen sulfide separations, and high temperature molten salt membranes. Bob holds a Ph. D. in inorganic chemistry from Rutgers University and did post doctoral work at the University of Michigan before moving to Air Products. Prior to his Ph. D., he taught high school chemistry and science for several years.
