Christian Fau is a Senior Engineer at the Detroit office of Honda R&D Americas, based in Southfield, Michigan. In addition to his work in lithium ion battery degradation, Christian seeks partners from academia, national laboratories and the venture community to create strategic partnerships that will contribute to both Honda’s innovative R&D and the goals of its partners. Prior to joining Honda, Christian was a member of the fuel cell components team of Freudenberg-NOK, based in Plymouth, Michigan. Christian managed the fuel cell testing laboratory, led R&D projects to improve Freudenberg’s gas diffusion layer product and designed stack sealing solutions for automotive, portable and backup power applications. Christian received his Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University in 2001 and his Master of Engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Constructions Aéronautiques in Toulouse, France, in 1999.
