Nick Sugimoto is a Program Manager, Innovation and Strategic Alliance, at Honda R&D Americas in Mountain View, California. Honda seeks investment opportunities in technology venture companies to establish the strategic foundation for collaborative partnership both to excel Honda‘s innovative R&D and to help technology venture companies succeed in automotive-related market. Nick oversees a broad spectrum of technologies including alternative energy, advance materials, information technologies and wireless communication. Previously, Nick consulted Japanese angel investors in identifying venture investment opportunities and managing portfolios in the US. Nick also has successful entrepreneurial experience in technology start-ups in the US and Japan. He also worked as the new business development manager in Recruit Co., Japan‘s largest publisher/information service provider. Nick received his engineering degree from University of Tokyo in 1984 and MBA from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley in 1996.
