Lin-wen Hu (MIT PhD, 1996; MIT SM, 1993) is Associate Director and Principal Research Scientist at the MIT Nuclear Reactor Laboratory (NRL). Dr. Hu’s research interests in nanofluids are thermal physical properties characterization, convective heat transfer, boiling heat transfer properties, and applications in energy systems. Sponsors of her research projects include Department of Energy, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), AREVA nuclear power, ABB Corporate Research, and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and King Saud University of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Hu has two patents pending in boiling heat transfer applications of nanofluids and has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers.
Co-chairing the symposium on Nanofluids.
