Dr. Takao Tani joined Toyota CRDL in 1990 with MSc from Kyoto University. There he worked on flame synthesis of metal oxide nanoparticles and their applications, and received his PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zürich in 2003. Since 2007, he has been participating in the research project on functionalization of periodic mesoporous organosilicas as a deputy manager.
