Robert Wilkins is Vice President, Public Affairs for Danfoss North America. He joined Danfoss in 1992 as president of Danfoss–EMC, an acquisition producing electronic control systems for supermarkets.

Danfoss, a leader in energy efficiency technologies, has sales of $5 billion, employs more than 23,000 people worldwide and operates in over 100 countries. It manufactures high-efficiency components and controls for air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and motion systems.

Mr. Wilkins has served on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) since 1998, and served as Chairman of the Board in 2007, leading the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute as it merged with the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association to form AHRI. He has helped to shape the direction of AHRI in recent years and currently chairs its Government Affairs Committee.

Wilkins also serves on the Board of the Parmer Scholars Foundation, which focuses on providing financial resources to enable deserving students in rural Alabama to obtain university educations. He is the author of several articles and was keynote speaker at the 2007 quadrennial General Conference of the International Institute of Refrigeration in Beijing.

He earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
