Andrew W. Salamon is a senior staff scientist at PerkinElmer located in Shelton, CT where he heads up their Nanotechnology Forum. Its charter is to educate customers and employees on nanotechnology and nanomaterial characterization applications. This position spans the full breadth of PerkinElmer’s analytical techniques, allowing him to play a key role in identifying scientific collaborators throughout the nano community, academics, and government agencies. Andrew is a member of USA’s ISO “Nano” Technical Committee (TC 229)--Working Group 2 for Nanomaterial Characterization and participates in the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI). During his 32 year career with PerkinElmer, Andrew has held various positions in R&D engineering, materials characterization, product management, and marketing.
