Joey Mead

Dr. Joey Mead is a Professor in the Plastics Engineering Department at UML and Deputy Director of NSF Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing. In addition to her academic experience, she worked for more than 10 years at the Army Research Laboratory.

An expert in rubber technology, thermoplastic elastomers, design, properties and processing of elastomers, nano materials, her scholarly intertests include elastomers, thermoplastic elastomers, nanomanufacturing, electrospinning, mechanical behavior of elastomers and polymers, interfacial properties of fiber reinforced composites, structure-property relationships, recycling of rubber and elastomeric barrier materials.
