Wolfgang Wondrak is leader of the research group on “hardware power electronics” at Daimler AG, Böblingen. After his Ph.D. in physics in 1986 he joined AEG research (now part of Daimler AG) where he worked on lifetime control for power semiconductor devices, .on SOI (silicon in insulator) and SiC (silicon carbide) technology and device development with a main focus on high-temperature applications. Since 1998, he investigated reliability aspects of semiconductor devices and passive components including failure modelling and accelerated testing. Today he is doing research and predevelopment of power electronic solutions for next generations of electric cars.
Speaking in the special symposium on Micro & Nano Reliability.
