| Daniel AttingerFounder, Laboratory for Microscale Transport Phenomena
|
Daniel Attinger joined the Mechanical Engineering Department of Columbia University in 2005 as an assistant professor. He founded the Laboratory for Microscale Transport Phenomena. His research investigates the transport of heat, momentum, and energy at the micrometer scale. He focuses particularly on interfacial phenomena in the presence of drops, bubbles, and microspheres.
Daniel Attinger is the recipient of the ETH Zurich silver medal (2001), and a 2005 NSF Career award for young investigators. He is a member of the Association for Laboratory Automation and of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
