Conductive Inorganic Fullerenes and Nanotubes

Organization:Yeda R&D Co. Ltd., N/A, IL
I.P. Brief:Inorganic fullerenes and nanotubes were discovered in the group of Reshef Tenne in 1992. these materials were shown to have lubrication and energy absorbing qualities. doping of MoS2 and WS2 nanotubes/nanoparticles with either Re (n-type) or Nb (p-type) foreign atoms, yielding both superior mechanical properties and high electrical conductivity.
Keywords:nanotechnology, nanoparticles, conductive nanoparticels, lubricants, shockwave absorbers, energy absorber, thin film
