Abstract:

Our goal is to develop a system that may be used for micro or nano actuation for biomedical applications. This will be accomplished with the use of stimuli responsive polymer with embedded magnetic nanoparticles to build actuators that are dual responsive. These nanoparticles will be evenly dispersed in poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm), a responsive polymer.
