Synthesis of Nano-Sized Nio Powder for Anode Functional Layer of Sofc by Using Pulsed Wire Evaporation (PWE) Method

Abstract:

In present work, anode functional layer for efficient SOFC was synthesized by using nano NiO powder made by pulsed wire evaporation (PWE) method and micro 8YSZ powder. Nano NiO-micro YSZ Anode functional layer was coated by dip coating method and sintered at the temperature of 900-1400 . The morphology and electrical property of synthesized anode functional layer was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy. The nano NiO-micro YSZ anode functional layer sintered at 1300 showed the lowest polarization resistance and exhibited about two times smaller polarization resistance than anode functional layer made by micro NiO-YSZ powders. Based on these experimental results, it can be concluded that the nano NiO-micro YSZ cermet can be a good candidate material of SOFC as an efficient anode functional layer operated at 800 .
