Summary:

We developed a new technique to produce Brush type nanostructures(BTNs) which are considered as a new class of photoanodes able to lead to more efficient hydrogen production by photocatalytic water splitting under sollar light irradiation. The excellent light-harvesting and efficient spatial separation of the photogenerated charges were considered to be the main reason responsible for the enhanced IPCE performance of BTNs, compared with a flat TiO2 film.
