Corporate Strategic Research

ExxonMobil Research and Engineering

Dalia Yablon holds an A.B. in Chemistry from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Columbia University. She joined the Advanced Lubrication Sciences section in ExxonMobil’s Corporate Strategic Research (CSR) as a postdoctoral fellow in 2002. In 2004, she became a member of the technical staff at CSR. Currently she is a Research Associate in the Advanced Sensing and Analytics section in CSR. Dalia has served as Program Leader in various sectors of CSR including in lubrication and harsh environment sensing where she led the development of various sensing platforms for ExxonMobil business applications based on acoustics, microcantilever, and optical fiber technologies. Dalia’s background is in surface science and specifically scanning probe microscopy for nanoscale characterization of surfaces and interfaces. She has worked in a number of cross-sector areas including corrosion, tribology, polyolefins, and unconventional gas resources. Her current focus is development of advanced scanning probe microscopy based methods for nanomechanical characterization, especially for polymer based systems.

Co-chairing the symposium on Nanoscale Materials Characterizaiton.
