A Universal Memory Model for Design Exploration (invited presentation)

This work proposes a top-down modeling methodology toward a universal memory model. It integrates the fundamental behavior of a digital memory (i.e., the finite state machine), as well as physical modules that are unique to each type of memory. The modeling results bridge the development of memory technologies and the exploration of future heterogeneous systems, helping illustrate the diverse opportunities and limitations of memory devices.
