Jason Tauscher

Manager - MEMS Subsystem

Microvision, Inc.

Jason Tauscher manages the MEMS sub-system development team at Microvision Incorporated in Redmond Washington. This team is responsible for all aspects of productizing MEMS solutions from design through prototype fabrication and validation. Recent projects include a successfully commercialized single axis MEMS scanning mirror for inproved reliablity in Barcode applications, and development of reliable Bi-axial scanning MEMS mirrors for both SVGA and WVGA laser projection displays. The Microvision WVGA MEMS scanner enables the creation of the smallest portable laser projection systems available.

Jason's personal focus in recent years has been on the challenges of technology transfer and execution of a volume solution with Microvision's external MEMS foundry partners. Utilizing his background in Chemical engineering, Jason started work in the MEMS field developing custom electrochemical deposition processes in support of precision low cost accelerometers at Silicion Designs, Inc. With the addition of over seven years of experience working with optical resonators at Microvision, Jason's experience encompasses more than fifteen years experience in MEMS Process Development and Design.
