Michael A. H. Maughan is responsible for the operational management and strategic development of several advanced programs within the Electromagnetic Systems Group of General Atomics (GA). He has over 18 years of multi-disciplinary experience in general management, strategy consulting, the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. State Department, U.S. Congress, and an international think tank. Prior to GA, Maughan served as an energy consultant and advisor to the President of IHS International, a global strategic advisory firm and was a strategy and policy consultant for Booz, Allen & Hamilton.

Maughan’ s national service includes leadership roles as a Marine Corps officer in various operations and exercises worldwide. He has also served as a Congressional Fellow for Senator Mark Kirk and Congressman Chris Van Hollen. His diplomatic assignments included Afghanistan, Israel, and the Palestinian Territories and liaison to the New York City Joint Terrorism Task Force.

He holds a Bachelor’s in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Tulane University and a Master’s in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
