Dr. Jingyu Liu is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Chemical Sciences Division and Materials Measurement Science Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Her doctoral research focused on the fate and transformations of silver nanoparticles in environmental and biological systems. She joined NIST in 2012 after her graduation with a PhD in Chemistry from Brown University. Jingyu’s current research activities are focused on the characterization and implications of nanomaterial environmental transformations including: Development of Single Particle Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (Single Particle ICP-MS) for accurately sizing and quantifying engineered nano particles; Physico-chemical transformations of engineered nanomaterials in the environment.
