Born in Krakow, Poland. Undergrad at UT-Austin, 2000: BS Physics, BS Aerospace Engineering, BA Plan II Honors (a humanities program). MS at MIT Mechanical Eng., 2004. PhD at MIT Mechanical Eng., 2005. 2005-2008 at LANL: first as a postdoc, then as director’s fellow, and finally as a TSM. 2007: postdoctoral distinguished performance award. 2008-now: Asst. Prof. at MIT Department of Materials Science and Engineering. 2012: TMS Early Career Faculty Fellow Award, NSF CAREER award.
