Ari Kobb heads the Green Buildings and Sustainability efforts at the Building Technologies Division of Siemens Industry, Inc. Ari is a LEED® Accredited Professional, and is a frequent speaker on green building and sustainability issues. He is responsible for ensuring Siemens leadership in the Green Building area, and leads a range of efforts including the alignment of Siemens products, services and solutions to the LEED® rating system, new solution development, strategic planning and business development. In addition, Ari provides comprehensive Green Building Solution and LEED training throughout the organization.

As founder and co-chair of the Siemens Internal Sustainability Committee, he continues to lead the division\'s own transition toward sustainability both corporately and throughout the field organization. This includes the development of the first comprehensive organizational CO2 inventory and the publication of the company\'s first-ever sustainability report.

Ari joined Siemens in 2005, as Senior Marketing Manager for the Building Technologies U.S. Energy and Environmental Solutions group, and was responsible for strategic marketing, market research and communications programs in a range of sectors including Federal, state and local government, education and enterprise accounts. In his tenure at Siemens he has led the development of and implementation of strategic solutions focused on energy efficiency, alternative and renewable energy and green buildings.

Ari is a member of the Board of Directors of the USGBC Illinois Chapter, and is active in a range of organizations that promote sustainability, energy efficiency and green buildings.

Prior to joining Siemens, Kobb held senior marketing positions with R.R. Donnelley and United Parcel Service (UPS). Ari earned a bachelor\'s degree Political Science and Spanish from Dickinson College and a Master\'s of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird).
