Summary:

Silica particles offer a versatile scaffold to develop highly efficient antioxidant SiO2 - gallic acid (GA) hybrid nanomaterials. This allows for independent control of the antioxidant activity and it inhibits the deactivation of GA. This makes such a novel antioxidant compound superior for food, pharma, cosmetics and polymer applications.
